L’Arche Boston North
In 1983, local families came together with a dream: homes for life for their adult children with disabilities. At L’Arche Boston North, we live that dream as our mission. We are a local nonprofit, part of the International Federation of L’Arche, and a faith-based and inclusive community. As our L’Arche community grew from one house to four, community members with and without disabilities learned from each other and grew together. We grew to include families in Shared Living, honoring the deep and transforming relationships they share. As we grew to support people living independently, we celebrated the gifts of each community member. And as the Homemade Hummus Project led us to day programming and employment supports, we celebrated our community’s creativity. As we grow, we live our mission of inclusion, celebration, welcome, belonging, and relationship in new and exciting ways. We welcome visitors and friends to share life with us, enjoying time around our dinner table in laughter and love.
