Volunteer At L’Arche Boston North
Looking for a way to give back while connecting to your local community? Volunteer some time at L’Arche Boston North! L’Arche Boston North relies on generous individuals and groups from the larger community. We are always looking to include others in our mission within Haverhill, the Merrimack Valley and beyond.
Come and share your time and talent! From office tasks to home improvement, gardening and more – we can use your help. L’Arche welcomes, delights in and depends on volunteers of all ages, from students to retirees. Please fill out the form below or call our office at (978) 374-6928 for more information!
Prayer Night Volunteer
Join us the first Thursday of the month for an informal time of fellowship, prayer, and reflection. Help us set up the room and clean up afterward while getting to know assistants and core people.
Time commitment: 2 hours per month.
Ambassador
Help spread the word about L’Arche by inviting us to share our mission at your place of worship, office, or other group. Within the space of an hour we highlight the mission and people of L’Arche through stories from our life together.
Time commitment: 1 hour plus time to coordinate with your group.
Core Member Buddy
Come and be friends to one of our core members. Take a walk, go to the movies or concert, and spend time with a great companion! You’ll be glad you did!
Exercise Buddy
We’re always looking for ways to stay healthy, from choosing the right foods to finding fun ways to exercise. Tone up in a fun, friendly atmosphere (our homes!).
Time commitment: Flexible; four-month commitment to weekly sessions preferred.
Light Housekeeping
With an average of eight people living together, keeping a L’Arche home clean takes a lot of work! Lend a hand to tidy up our living spaces, clean the kitchen, and give bathrooms a quick once-over. Cleaning supplies provided.
Time commitment: One hour or more per month; time is flexible
Gardening/Yard Work
If you have a green thumb and love working outdoors we always have gardens or yard work that need taking care of. Spring and Fall clean-ups are always in need. In the summer, come and plant a vegetable garden with us!
Groups
Small and medium-sized groups find giving – and receiving – meaningful in L’Arche.
